I had the mammogram

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2006: I had the mammogram

I thought it was in Sept, but that was a different appt. I had the mammogram
friday. I had heard so many horror stories and started crying right there in the x-ray room. But the Tech assured me I would be ok and I was. I've had my blood pressure checked that felt worse. Anyway, I'm glad it's over. :)
I haven't really contributed much to MV lately but I am here. I've just felt under the weather lately along with home improvements and I admit I've been an Ebay junkie too. Hope everyone is ok.

Glad everything went well. Having a mammogram isn't really a big deal. Now, I've heard the same about colonoscophies...I'll let you know when I get one in nine years!

Mammos aren't that bad. It's just a few seconds.

Don't personally know about colonoscopies. I think the prep is worse than the test. DH doesn't remember anything about his. He was too doped up. He didn't like the prep part too much.

Unfortunately *I* know first hand about colonoscopies, and if your GI doc is any good, you won't remember it at all. LOL Dawn is right, the prep is MUCH worse than the test. Thank goodness for Versed!

OH - and glad to hear your mammo went well - I think most people dread having one the very first time because of the stories they've heard.

I have to get Kristine one. She has a lump and told me last night there is discharge. Discharge is how my mom found out she had cancer. Kristine is only 17.

{{{HUGS}}} to Kim. I think I would want to know, one way or the other.

((hugs)) Please let us all know how she is doing.
