Plane crash in KY

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2006: Plane crash in KY
By Luvn29 on Sunday, August 27, 2006 - 07:40 pm:

49 people died. They've now found that the plane was trying to take off from the wrong airstrip, one that was too short.

One person, the co-pilot, was the only one to survive. He is in critical condition. The rescue workers were unable to reach anyone else because of the flames.

My cousin had to fly into New York today to call the families of the victims. I'd hate to have that job...

That's terrible! I saw something on TV about it today. All forty nine of those people had people who love them. This will change their life forever.

Your poor cousin...you're right, I wouldn't want that job either. So sad. :(

It's very tragic and I can't imagine having to tell the families!

I saw on the news that there was a couple on their that had just been married the day before.

Yes, it was a ex minor league baseball player. They had had a fairytale wedding the night before, complete with 300 friends and family members and a horse drawn carriage.

There was also a couple going to get married somewhere...

And there was a man on there who had taken an early flight out of FL to get home to be with his children...

All of it is so, so sad...

That is way too sad.
