Well, I don't physically have it at my house yet, but I just bought one on eBay! It's local so I'll have to pick it up. I'm so excited! I've been without my piano since moving out of my parent's house back in 1989. I'm waiting for an email or phone call with an address and pick up time!

Awwww. You will love it! I can't imagine not having a piano! I got mine in March 1986 and met hubby in November 1986.

Cat, is it a full upright, or a keyboard? I used to play piano as a child...and not to sound like I'm bragging, but I played pretty well. We had a baby grand, and I used to polish it every week. I loved that piano, and loved playing it. I spent hours each day playing it. However, some serious *doo doo* from my childhood has given me a mental block apparently and I can't remember how to play anything. I can totally relate to your excitement and I'm even a tad envious! LOL Enjoy your piano!!!!

We're going to pick it up tomorrow because it's raining right now and doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon. We also need to borrow our neighbor's trailer to get it home. So hopefully the weather will cooperate tomorrow and I'll have it then! I took lessons for 8 years when I was a kid. I know I've forgotten a lot, but it'll come back quickly. I had such an advantage in jr high and high school band and choir because I could already read music and had all my theroy down. Even now taking my violin lessons it's a huge help.

Dawn, I can't wait!!! The auction description did say it needs to be tuned but is in great shape. I'll call around Monday and get someone out here ASAP to tune it. OH!!! I'm just tickled! lol

That's great!! What a great purchase!I don't play as often as I'd like to anymore, but I'm soooo glad I have it. It's the one I had growing up and it has lots of memories with it, as I played competitively. Now it's just for pleasure and sooooo relaxing. Natalie has gotten to where she really enjoys playing all alone in the same room while I play the piano to my heart's content.

That's similar to what mine looks like. Mine has 46" strings, which is the longest string you can get, before it's considered an upright grand. I love how mine sounds!

It's here!!! We picked it up around 7ish tonight. I does need to be tuned and the bench needs a little tlc (bottom's coming off). The music holder is really touchy, too, but for the price we can't beat it! The kids are excited and both have already tried it out. I'll get pics of it when I decide what to put on it. I've already spent about 1/2 hour on it! Bad tuned notes and all! lol
