Has anyone flown recently? Looking for tips.

It looks like liquids are out, but baby formula is fine. I'm just not sure how to bring it. Should I bring a can of the ready made liquid that's sealed or I usually bring a bottle with water and then powder formula. I'm not sure if they will give me a hard time.

I'm letting DD bring a small backpack with her things. Just a couple of books, crayons and a pad of paper, with a couple of small snacks.

It's tough to pack light with children.

Just curious if anyone has had to deal with flying with a baby and what to do about formula? We leave Sunday. I'm not looking forward to it! LOL

You can probably get a water bottle off the beverage cart to mix with the powder. I fly Wednesday but unfortunately I won't benefit from your experience as you won't be home by then! Enjoy your trip. :)

I'd buy some of those ready to feed bottles that you get at the hospital - just unscrew and screw a nipply on. Can you buy those?

where are you going?

Im right there with you Eve. We fly out tomorrow morning. Faith hasnt had a bottle since she was 10 months old. She is now 2, but she still needs to suck on something at takeoff. I am bringing some empty sippy cups with me, and asking the flight attendant for some juice as soon as I get on. I hope that there will no be a problem with them giving me a beverage when boarding.

Well, from my experience last week, you will not be allowed to take the water on board with you. I did not fly with a baby though so I'm really not sure. I would just call the airline and ask to be on the safe side.

Last week, once though security you could purchase water/pop, etc from the various vendors in the airport. However, the bottle had to be opened by airport staff and poured in to a paper cup. You were not allowed to drink from the plastic container. That being said, however, I think I remembered seeing a vending machine that had pop in it. It's all pretty hit and miss right now I think.

Good luck, Jackie. I'll be thinking about you!I'm sure they'll have no problem giving you some juice. Will she suck on a paci? With Sydney, we use lollipops.

Colette-that's a great idea, but he's drinking 8 ozs and that would be a lot of bottles I would be bringing. I think I'll bring the ready made Similac packets and also a couple of cans. I'll ask when I am checking in. I'll give my DH whatever we won't be using and he can bring it back home with him.

Wow, no drinking out of plastic water bottles! Wow, that is amazing. If it keeps us safer, I don't mind! Thanks, everyone.:)
