By Wandilu on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 - 11:20 pm:

A young mommy here in my home town just gave birth to her 3rd baby. Her other two are ages 7 MONTHS and 2 YEARS.This new baby was 3 months pre-mature !! But I'm pretty sure the little one is going to be ok. She sure has her hands full!!!!!!

Goodness! She needs to shut off the baby-making machine for a while, now! I can't imagine having a 7 month old AND a new baby, along with a 2yo! So, the baby and the 7 month old, would have only been about 10 months apart? Yikes! They're almost twins!

By Crystal915 on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 01:32 am:

YIKES!!! They call that "Irish Twins" (and I don't mean to offend, I'm part Irish). I can't even imagine THINKING about sex so soon after having a baby, I think it was 4 months before I would even consider sex, let alone unprotected!!

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 01:48 am:

Well, DH and I were interested, before the 6 weeks was up, but the first time, usually never came to its usual end and trust me, we used contraception!

By Unschoolmom on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 06:45 am:

Wow. Just wow. Her body wouldn't have even had time to properly heal and recover from the last baby.

By Luvn29 on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 07:31 am:

Oh my goodness! I'm not sure how she's going to manage a newborn, especially one who is premature by that much, and a seven month old. Then to top that off, a stubborn two year old, who is still a baby itself! All three in carseats, diapers, and probably bottles, too! Wow!

I think that woman needs to learn the word NO!

I have a friend who is an L&D nurse and has a story about a couple, right after the birth...ewww! It really isn't good for you to have sex before the cervix is closed, it can really lead the way for some massive infections.

By Bellajoe on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 11:49 am:

Kaye, Ewww! Do you really mean RIGHT after the birth? As in they did it in the hospital?
WOW!

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 10:33 pm:

No way. Not RIGHT after the birth. I had c-sections. Can you imagine how much that would have hurt, but even after a vaginal birth. Just makes me shudder.

By Kaye on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 01:14 am:

Yep...in the post partum room...I just can't imagine.

By Luvn29 on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 10:42 am:

Okay, not to be totally disgusting, but how would that work, with the canal still expanded and stretched all out from the birth? You know?

She must have had an EXTREMELY easy labor and delivery. I was so sore and tender down there that there would be NO WAY!!

By Bellajoe on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 08:43 pm:

Adena, that is exactly what i was thinking.

Maybe she had an epidural and couldn't feel anything down there!! LOL

By Luvn29 on Thursday, August 17, 2006 - 09:32 pm:

LOL! That'd make it fun, wouldn't it! (Note the sarcasm!)
