HELLLLP PLEASE! I need to find

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2006: HELLLLP PLEASE! I need to find

Pants for my son.

As many of you may know my ds will be starting school in a few weeks, and I was just informed earlier this week that he will be required to wear uniforms, thats fine I love the idea.

But it just darned on my the other night while collecting my thoughts before going to sleep. He is recently (3 months) potty trained. He is doing wonderful I even no longer use pull-ups at night. My concern is that he will have trouble un-buttoning his pants to go to the bathroom.

So I would like to get him either elastic waist(pull on-pull off) style or velcro closure style pants.

Now the color pants that I need are navy blue, they can either be uniform pants, chino style or any other slack pants type as long as it's the color.

I spent yesterday checking around on the internet,(Targets, Walmart, Kmart, French Toast, as well as JCP. I did go in the store at kmarts and find elastic waist but the biggest they come in is size 5T. And although he is only 2 years old he wears a size 5 in little boys.

If anyone has an idea or know of where I may find pants of this type please let me know. I know that they make them I just have no idea where to get them from.

Sorry for the lenthyness.

Sorry - don't know how to do a link, but I found these this morning - hope it helps. If not, I tried. Good luck!

Sears might have what you are looking for.

Try Land's End. They have a section just for school uniforms. I did find some called Open Bottom Cargo Climber Pants that are elastic waist and available from sizes 2T-7. I couldn't make a link work, though. Good luck. :)

OMG, just what I'm talking about and the price I can't believe it.

And my family and friends wonder why I'm always bragging about this board.

Cat beat me to it, but I was also going to recommend Lands' End. LL Bean is worth a look, too.

He's going to grow out of them sooooo fast. I've always had lots of luck with Walmart for elastic style pants for Timmy. I know they have alot of navy blue there now.

What school is this? I have never heard of uniforms for a two year old.

Your local uniform shop should have several styles also. We have shops that sell only school uniforms and they have elastic waisted ones and slide closures too.

Search the boutique world on ebay. Contact a designer and ask if she could make you some. I'm sure it would be pretty inexpensive, and they would be made to your ds's exact measurements. I can receommend a few designers if you are interested!
