I read this on another message board...Not sure exactly where it came from, so I can't post a link...

This upsets me so much. Pray for this little girl.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A New Jersey mother is dead after her 15-year-old daughter accidentally ran her over during a driving lesson, according to police. Police were called to the 1100 block of Catawba Avenue just before 4 p.m. Sunday and found Tina Rowe dead underneath her car.
Investigators said she was teaching her 15-year-old daughter how to parallel park.

Detectives said the 39-year-old was standing behind the Chevy Cavalier when her daughter threw it into reverse, knocked her down and backed over her mother. Police said Tina Rowe died instantly.

Police believed the girl may have hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

"When we taught our kids to drive, it's one of those things in life you look forward to and for this to happen, this tragedy. I don't how they can get past it. It will be incredible if they get past if they can at all," said John Nessel, of Newfield, N.J.

Police said they will not press underage-driving charges against the 15-year-old.

Yikes, my 15 year old dd is learning to drive, too. I know we all try to be careful but...the poor girl must be devastated!

Oh my goodness! That poor little girl will never get over that. Hopefully, time will heal it some.

Many years ago, a young man in our area was crushed to death by his own pick up. He was working on it, and it jumped out of park and pinned him against his own garage. The mailman found him. He was eighteen.

Life can be full of terrible things. Only God knows why these things have to happen. :(
