We're going to Florida to see our dh's new "life"!! Remember,her dh got transfered with his job and they had to move? Well,they came in this week after being gone for the longest stretch of time yet,about 4 weeks.They were planning on getting the rest of their stuff this trip,but will actually have to come back for one more trip.Anyway,my precious dh surprised me and told me we could go to Florida and spend a few days with them!!My dd starts her new job on Monday,and dgd and dgs starts school that day too.And my dh starts a new job in a few weeks,and we don't know how long it will be before he'll get a vacation,so this is perfect timing.I've never been to Florida.I'm sooooo excited.Maybe somehow,this will make it easier to "let them go"

Wanda - I'm SO happy for you!! That's wonderful news. Yes, it probably will help, (tho you'll still miss them) to see where they live, and to see them settled in. It will quiet the "mother's worry", and, when they describe their house, you'll be able to picture it.

That is wonderful news! I got to go to Florida, once, when I was 19 (1979!) I loved seeing palm trees and pelicans!

Heather - DH and I lived in Orange Park for six months, while he went to a military school. Of course, that was 1971.

Heather,it would be so cool to meet you,even for just a few minutes.It would be fun to put a "person" or face to one of my momsview friends.She has moved to Jacksonville Beach.I think that is still in the Jacksonville area.I ,also,can't wait to see a Palm tree,and Pelican's.My dd said she has gecko's (sp !)running all thru their yard.And...then there's the BEACH !! I don't think there is going to be enough time in the next 2/3 days to see it all...but I'm sure going to try !!!!
