It's a friend of Gary's who just opened a portrait studio. He spent a lot of time with her. Tomorrow sometime, there will be a link posted and I'll post it here. We didn't get to see any yet. We got to drive a long ways along Lake Michigan! It was gorgeous.

Sarah has the camera right now, on a bike ride, but I did take pictures of the lake, while she was getting her pics taken. The Manitowoc/Two Rivers area has a gorgeous lakefront area, with a bike trail. We saw lots of bikes! Manitowoc/Two Rivers is about 25-30 miles away and about halfway between Sheboygan and Green Bay, right along the lake.

I have to get Callie's done too. I am going to be so broke this year it isn't even funny. I am thinking the girls might send us into financial ruin when their time comes. They are in fourth this year so it is coming up quicker than I would like to think.

So far this year we have calculated..

Singers (performance choir) is $675. That is for her dress, tap shoes etc.. Her dress alone is $260...

Senior pictures, if I go with the studio I have to take her to to have her picture put in the year book we are looking at $250 and that is for a small package.. The big package is $575... It is costing us $25 to have her year book head shot done no matter what. I am looking into a private photographer for the rest..

Year book is $60.

Homecoming dress and shoes will be another $200 to $300.

Prom will be yet another $200 to $300.

Then the cap and gown fees..

Oh and the $150 for her pay to play fees for Singers.. The towns people won't pass a new levy so they make all kids in activities pay the $150 pay to play fee..

And then there is everyones school fees, school supplies and clothes they will need to start school...

Oh and lets not forget that Christmas is approaching fast... And birthdays and and and .....

Welcome to the poor house...

Can't wait to see Sarah's pictures..

Sarah's Pics

Yes, I think senior year is going to be expensive. What is good, though, is that she has the fancy shoes and fancy purses, already, for the big dance events, so that saves us money.

A lot of good pic's!! I like the one where she is on the beach!!! Also the one where she is laying down with barefeet up behind her with her hands on her chin. I like the black and white with the red letterman jacket! Cool pic. And I like the one where she is sitting in the chair with bare feet hanging over the arm of the chair. CUTE!!!

It would be so hard too chose. LOL Beautiful young lady!

Wow, I can't believe she is a senior already. There are so many great pictures, it is going to be hard to pick.

Dawn and all of you, yes, senior year is VERY expensive. I had 2 in a row, and I worried through both of them, how we would pay for it, but it gets taken care of somehow.

Great pics of Sarah. I love some of the shots your photographer chose. The photographer who did Jen's senior pics was creative like that and he gave us a CD with all the pics on it. Jeff went to the local photographer who does all the local high schools, and I wasn't impressed with her at all. More and more photographers are posting the pics on a website since they've gone to digital. I much prefer that, you can get opinions before you buy.

Great pics!! I can't believe how expensive all that stuff is, Bobbie! Yikes, I'd better start a senior year fund now!!

By Karen~admin on Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 12:21 pm:

That's right Crystal, you will have double the expenses in the same year.

I remember my parents struggling to pay for my senior pics 13 years ago, and that was only one in a year!

Dawn- Really great pictures! It will be so hard to decide. I really like the outdoor ones a lot.:)

By Hol on Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 09:50 pm:

Wow! They sure give you a lot of choices! They are beautiful, and so is Sarah! Will they let you mix and match? I know, when my oldest son Dan had his done, I INSISTED that he wear a shirt and tie, telling him that people 40 years from now will be looking at them and remembering. Well, he wore the shirt and tie for the photo package that I bought. However, HE chose the one for his yearbook, and he had a T-shirt on! I was ticked! :)

By Dawnk777 on Monday, July 31, 2006 - 08:09 am:

LOL! I think we will let her get 2 sets of wallets, so she can pick two pictures. It will be hard to just pick one, for the wall, though!

Crys, I have Callie this year, then three years to recover then I will be dealing with Dill and the girls will be in 7th grade when Dill graduates.. I will have to start their graduation fund then, lol, not enough time or money to start it now.. Just be glad you have one of each...

Dawn, you sure have A LOT of pictures to choose from... Good luck with that. LOL She looks great.. It is hard to believe how quickly they grow up... I like the one in the chair with the bare feet too, by the way..

By Nicki on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 - 02:55 am:
