Oh yes I was awakened at 1:30 in the morning to my dd telling me that ds had gotten sick. He of course had not made it to the bathroom. He has carpet in his room. I cleaned it up the best I could but the rooms smells. What do you all use? Can I say this is probably my top least favorite way to be woken out of a deep sleep. Even worse then being woken up by one of dh's sleep walking antics! He seems fine now by the way. His room was warm to me. But we will stay home today.

Vinegar and water... then lysol, then you might sprinkle baking soda on it to absorb anymore odor thats left...

Open the window and turn on a fan...

I am sorry!! This is no fun!!!

I'd try Nature's Miracle on that too. I know how *gross* that is - when Jeff was 2 or 3, he vomited on the couch. Jules was babysitting while X and I were Christmas shopping for the kids when it happened. She wiped it off and flipped the cushion. You can imagine what it smelled like hours and days later. Had to buy another cushion for the couch. I didn't know about Oxy Clean and Nature's Miracle and things like that then. Good luck!

We invested in a small steam cleaner. What we do is wipe up the mess as best as possible and clean it up with the steam cleaner. I know that seems like a lot of work, but we have never had any lingering smells after using it. But, I should add that we only have wall to wall carpet in one room in the house. The rest have hardwood floors with area rugs.

Sorry your ds is sick. I hope he feels better soon.

Nature's Miracle! DS threw up on the beige wall to wall carpeting in his bedroom. I thought we were doomed with the stain and smell. Two applications of Nature's Miracle took care of it. thumbsupsmiley

We clean up the best I can, then Oxyclean spray it. Then finish up. The Oxyclean neutralizes the odor and gets out stains. But I've never tried Nature's Miracle.
