Longaberger Stair/Step Basket Ideas??

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive April 2006: Longaberger Stair/Step Basket Ideas??
By Kate on Thursday, April 6, 2006 - 04:35 pm:

Does anyone have one of these stair/step baskets?? The ones where one part sits on the bottom stair and the rest sits on the upper stair? If you do, how do you use it? Do you actually use it for putting things in it that need to travel from the first to second floor? Or do you leave it there 24/7 and have it filled with dried flowers? If you leave it there, are there other ideas besides dried flowers for decorating it? I have NO interior decorating skills, but I do possess this basket and I'd like to use it as decoration. Also, if you have flowers in it, do you fill it equally, or is the shallow end different? Help! Thanks!

I don't have this one, but LOVE it!! Part of my steps are carpeted and it is too wide to fit level on the wood part. Anyway, IF I did have it, it would be used for things that need to go upstairs. I love the idea of dried flowers, but with 3 kitties, it would never survive. LOL It also is cute on a shelf instead of stairs!!

How do you put it on a shelf? Doesn't it teeter totter?

You might have to put something down in the basket on the part that sits on the shelf, but it should sit pretty good. I have thought about getting it for that, but then it is only decoration. I like uses for my baskets, not just to be pretty. LOL
