I read somewhere recently that if you want your house to smell fresh to take some essential oil and put it into your vacuum cleaner bag and then vacuum. I tried it today and instead of my house smelling like dog after I vacumm it smells like oranges.

I have a bagless, and only have rugs and hardwood, but I wonder if it works if you put it in the filter? Might have to give it a shot!! Thanks!!

The smell doesn't last forever, just a few hours. But it sure beats smelling dog for a few hours. I put the essential oil of orange in today and Matthew and I must have eaten about 4 mandarin oranges this afternoon.

You can also put a couple of drops of essential oil on a lightbulb and when you turn it on it will scent the room.
