Hi everyone! Im leaving this Thursday night for Washington DC with my middle DD's 8th grade class. I havent been there since I was 7! So - needless to say - it's been awhile & I'm sure there have been lots of changes! Anyone have any input on secrets or special places we should check out? Maybe a really cool pic opportunity?

We are on our way out the door! The bus leaves the school at 3:45 am!!! Hope the bus is quiet and we all get some sleep. We have a whirlwind 2 days of non-stop site seeing! Hope I survive! :)

WOW this is gonna be hard cuz we jam packed so much into just 2 short days!! We went to the Arlington cemetary which was fascinating. It was alot of walking though & very Hilly. and 90 degrees - so extremely hot! I suggest getting a tour guide since they know all the facts and secrets! We went to many different monuments & memorials. Air force, FDR, WWII, Korean war, Vietnam, Iwo Jima, the list goes on & on. My favorite was Iwo Jima - very moving. and WWII - Beautiful. & Korean - so real. We also saw the white house, the capitol building, Reflection Pool, Archives, Union Station, & museum of air & science. I'm sure that is not all - it was BUSY!!!!!
