Make Up Tip #1 The Elegant, Dramatic Eye:

creating elegant, dramatic eyes

1. To create a gorgeous nighttime look, use light, medium and dark eyeshadow shades in graduated tones. Apply the dark shade along your lash line, the medium shade on the crease, and a light shade up to the eyebrow bone but not beyond. Soften and blend any hard edges so one color seems to melt into the next.

2. To open up your eyes so that they appear livelier, place a dot of a light shadow in the inner corner of each eye.

3. For a sexy, smoky effect, trace the upper and lower lashes with a dark shadow then smudge with a blending brush. To optimize the look, this can also be done over eyeliner.

I LOVE doing my make up Feona! Almost better than going out - it's the process of getting ready that I like!!! I practice & play around & Totally TAKE MY TIME!! I think thats the key!

I have used a eggplant (dark purple) eyeliner (in a pot) as a eye shadow. Then use lighter eye shadow over it. To soften it. That is for the lid only. Sometime I think it looks good and sometimes I think I am too old for the look.

I do like eye make up sometimes rather than all over make up. My skin get clogged so easy. I have to use proactiv sulfur mask at night if I used liquid foundation during the day.

I have never been able to use foundation or any of that cakey stuff either. Only face powder. But I do like to spend extra time on my eyes - Ive heard that you should always play up ONE feature - and it should be your best. I have big dark brown eyes - so I go with that!
