Hi Jjandmom,

I have had both hypo and hyper. Yes there are meds but far worse if untreated. There are also dietary modifications that help.

Over 40% of women have some kind of thyroid issue following the birth of one of their children. Far more widespread than people know. Also it can contribute to mood swings and be mistaken for other issues.

Hi Jjandmom,
How are the thyroid meds working. I've continued on mine for years but they worked. My doctors still test at least quarterly but the first 3 years it was monthly.

Hope you're Ok.
Linda

Hi Jjandmom,

Glad to hear you're alright.

I forgot to mention that my neighbor had her thyroid removed and is just maintained on meds and she is an active mom with 4 kids as well as being a working nurse and a fulltime student.
