Friday, February 6, 2009, we went to the hospital to be induced. I went in there starting at 2 centimeters dilated and 50% effaced. At 9:00am, I got all hooked up to the pitocin, and was about 3 centimeters dilated and 60% effaced. We just had to wait on my doctor to come in and break my water. At 10:00, my doctor came in and broke my water. I was 4 centimeters dilated and about 75% effaced. She said that she was thinking lunch time, he would be here. I thought she was out of her mind since my labor with my DD was 14 hours long. I was thinking more like dinner time since they say the 2nd is usally half of what the 1st one is. Around 11:00, I was in so much pain, and needed the epidural. My nurse checked me and I was 5 centimeters dilated, and about 90% effaced. I finally got hooked up to the epidural around 11:15. At 11:45 I was in so much pain. I was having tons of pressure and it would not go away. My nurse checked me again, and I was 100%. Chandler was right there, and I was told not to push! She ran to call the doctor, and thank goodness they are right across the street from the hospital. My doctor got there at 12:00, and at 12:17pm, Chandler was born, weighing in at 7pounds 4.5ounces and 20&1/4inches long. He looks just like my DH!!!! We are all so happy he is here and are so much in love!!!

first off, your baby looks absolutely gorgeous ! Congrats to finally gettin the little bundle here !

Secondly, you look GREAT ! I have a wonderful tendency to look like crap (or like I just delivered a baby) and some other well-meaning but incredibly idiotic family member decides to take a picture of me with new bundle and then send to every single family member I've ever come into contact with ..... why could I look like you did in your pic .... just stunning, beautiful, glowing, happy, I could go on, but I'll just get depressed and feel the need to torch all of my 'labor-day' pics, hahahaha !

No, I wouldn't torch them, good pics to have, but I sure do wish I looked like you do in yours !!!!!
