The Super Bowl is upon us

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: The Super Bowl is upon us

Is your household a Football family or has the gridiron made you a football widow. I actually have surrendered gracefully to this lot in life. For years we used it as an annual reunion with another family that lived 1.5 hours from us and we celebrated birthdays at the same tme. We're too far away now to do that. Looking to replace the tradition. Probably will just invite a couple people over for pizza and snacks. Definitely would love to hear your superbowl party hits.

We usually don't do anything special for the super bowl. It is on too late for my taste! I don't know why they don't do it on a Saturday night! People have kids with school the next day and most have to go to work!

Our neighbors have a party. They make a big deal out of it so it's lots of fun. We'll be there!

I do NOT like Superbowl, could care less for it. Now that we have a house, dh gets the guys together and they watch here. They play a bit of basketball in the driveway beforehand. Sometimes another female will arrive but I'm usually the only one.

The guys are pretty low key, they request the basics: chips, salsa, wings, drinks. I'll put out a veggie platter, dh will make yogurt dip, sometimes I'll make a chili for "dinner" and sometimes it's just pizza. I know it's more of an excuse for the guys to get together now that their schedules are so hectic.

Vicki, I get what you mean about having it on Sunday night. I know of *someone* who solved that problem by requesting the next day off.

We have got to watch this year----------Go Cards! we are in Arizona so this is a major deal even for those of us who are not Football fans in general.
