Has anyone gotten into this four book saga? I got the first one, Twilight, for Christmas and I've finished all four already. Just curious if anyone else has enjoyed them as much as I did.

I haven't read any of them yet. I do know a girl we hosted this past summer was reading it. She's so excited about the entire series and was so anxious to see the movie. It just came out in Germany this past Monday.

Everyone who speaks of this series just loves it. Now I'm going to have to read them.

I absolutely loved them!!! I read them in a very short amount of time, also. They are incredible books & now my dd is reading them.

I am hooked! I read all four books in about 6 days. The movie was good, but I loved the book better.

awesome .... not that I know anything about this series (although I've heard a lot about it!) but that someone else gets hooked on a book and cannot put it down, I'd like to know .... how did you manage to cook dinner if you read four books in six days ?

Not giving you a hard time Jtsmom, honestly, I'm just wanting tips for the next time I get "stuck" in a book, and want to find something for dinner for those who care more about food than finding out who the bad guy is in my current mystery .....

I try to read after the kiddos go to bed, BUT if I'm up til 5am finishing a book, well let's just say that lunches are likely to be mixed up (and if you've read any of my other posts you probably know that at least one of my kiddos is very picky, I don't DARE mix up the lunches !) hahaha !

read all of them in less than a week. My dd 14 got me to read them and she is obsessed!

I agree that the books were much better than the movie but it was okay!

My 12 year old dd is on her fourth time reading the series. I read them as well and couldn't put them down.

Harlena...I didn't manage to cook dinner....DH had to do it :)

I was the same way! Dinner was forgotten (well...nachos, cereal, frozen pizza) and my house really needs to be cleaned!!

By Jtsmom on Monday, January 19, 2009 - 10:29 am:

The boys are in bed at 8pm and I was up until 2 - 3 am reading!! Every night, I kept saying I am going to stop at midnight. Never happened!

I just started Eclipse a few days ago and I am about halfway done with it. These books really suck you in, don't they? :)

By Vicki on Monday, January 19, 2009 - 11:41 am:

Dd has read all of them. Maybe I should get them from her. I didn't think I would be interested in them, but you guys are making me rethink that. LOL

My dd 14 is addicted. I thought they were okay. Not amazing, but okay. I did really like the 4th book though. Movie was BAD...even my dd will admit it now. We went to the midnight premere.

The nice thing about the books, they are written for young girls, so they are pretty clean and innocent and they are quick reads. I think it took about 6 hours a book.

Thanks Momofmax,
It is unlikey I would have gotten this series if you hadn't mentioned it. My local library is getting me the set. Looking forward to a couple of sleepless nights. Is the movie as good as the books?

I agree with most who posted that the movie is not that great. It seems as if most movies made from books aren't as good as the book itself. Hope you like them!

By Breann on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 - 03:18 pm:

Vickie, you should definitely read them. I didn't think I would be into them either, but I loved them!

I enjoyed the movie, but thing that the book is much better. That's usually how it is though. It was fun to compare them, and to see the faces they selected to play the characters.
