Funny thing is I just visited the dealership that sold us our new car a few months ago and noticed the things mentioned in the article:

The whiteboard behind the sales manager with little green squares for every car sale next to the salespeople's names.

The sales manager's raised platform surrounded by glass so he could see the entire showroom.

And finally, the sales manager had his air slicked back just like described in the article!

Too funny!

By the way, forget Edmunds, Carfax and the others, I just found this great website with information on buying a new car:

They say that the worst thing you can do is to go to the dealership and make an offer because you'll almost surely overpay!
