What was it like?

Funny you should ask! I just went to the dr on Friday.

I've been sick for the last 3 months, all respiratory issues, but never coughing/lung stuff. However, from the first day of being sick, I noticed it hurt to take a deep breath. It feels much like having something heavy on your chest when you breath in.

Then by last week, I finally started having the coughing and "in my lungs" feeling. And before I knew it, my lungs hurt. They HURT. Breathing, not breathing.....it just hurt. I took only short breaths. I did have some wheezing for about 2 days, but it went away after the coughing let up. But the lungs never did quit hurting.

Now I've had pneumonia 3 times in my life, but it was the kind where I was sick in bed and I KNEW I was sick. This time, I knew I didn't feel good, but I went about my daily stuff pretty much.

Tired easily, sometimes would break out with fever and be sick for a day or two, then back to the regular life again......but still not feeling good.

I started my antibiotics on Friday and on Sunday night had my first day of no pain in my lungs. I'm feeling a little bit of pain right now, but I haven't had this mornings dose yet. So hopefully that is why.

Mostly, the symptoms would be shallow breathing, tiredness, out of breath when you do light work, and heaviness feeling on your chest. Coughing is likely. It does not need to be a wet sounding cough.

Hope you feel better quickly.

My 2 year old son had walking pneumonia and I don't know what I have. He got over it in about 3 weeks. I assume it is the same. I am too tired to to the doctor though.

Funny... Doctors are for people who are well enough to know they might be sitting in the doctors office for 1.5 hours waiting for the doctor.

Feel okay... then tired and dizzy the next day...

I am going to try a herb that people at the piano store were raving about Astragalus

It is supposed to be a chinese herb that is good for the immune system and prevents cancer supposedly.

I was never sick that much before I had kids. Now sometimes I am sick for a month sometimes. I think this is the second or third time I have been sick for about a month in 8 years. The little ones really give me the germs. Thank goodness my husband and other son didn't get it because this is nasty.

Hope you feel better too.
