Office woes....again

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Office woes....again
By Missbookworm on Thursday, December 4, 2008 - 07:39 pm:

I just need to vent.

I've posted before about someone in my office I have had a hard time with and it's just getting worse!! I feel like it's at the point whenever I say something about her now to anyone in my life I'm whining...

She is playing obvious favorites in the office (I don't want to be her favorite but I would like to be recognized for a job well done I work my *ss off and she NEVER comments on it) but she is constantly commenting on the performance of the other two people she oversees in the office...she constantly redelegates things to me on top of the already overloaded workload I have away from the other two because they're oh so busy but they have time to talk video games/chat on their computers/send text messages on their phones etc. on office time.

She ignores practically every email I send her including the one I sent today requesting to use up the last of my vacation time this year by taking off the day after my birthday which is on sunday and the 22nd and 23rd because my kids are done school on the 19th and I don't want them being home by themselves the other two days.

I'm getting at my wits end. She's young, has no office management experience and it's starting to appear she's working on making my workplace miserable for me by being this way....I don't care that she's the office manager because I don't want that position I'm happier doing what she's doing I just want her to do her flippin' job show me some respect both to my face and behind my back (I discovered an email where she was openly slamming me and the CEO in a very rude and inappropriate way to one of the people she's favoring).

*sighs*

Too bad you couldn't forward the email to the CEO!

Agree, I might be tempted to open the eyes of the GEO, that is unethical as heck, and should not be aloud to go on.

It is sad that people with clear character flaws tend to be the ones in control in the work place, really stinks.

She did see it and my understanding was they were written up with a warning but at one point while trying to find something else for the CEO on her desk she requested I saw the letter and it looks like it was never given to her.

I have a meeting with the president of the board on December 10th. It's been a bit weird..one of the board members knows my partner and has been asking some questions about what's going on and I think that's why I've been asked out for coffee with the president of the board.

It does really stink and today is supposed to be my birthday celebration in the office and I don't even want too. Our CEO is so excited about celebrating my b'day though I don't have the heart to say no to her even though it's the last thing I want to do :(
