I don't know that we'll have to evacuate. The fires last year were much worse so i'm definitely not as uneasy about this as I was last year. I'll keep a watch out though. I have a perfect view from my bedroom window so i'll be watching throughout the night i'm sure.

It looks to be about 70% contained last I checked. I can't see much of anything this morning. This is just the beginning though so we'll see what we have in store this year.

I actually have more of an infatuation with fires than a fear of them. I think some of the pictures taken are so beautiful.... as long as they stay away from structures and as long as they don't cause harm. I actually did end up driving near the fire last night after the kids were in bed so I had a better idea of how close it was (i'm not a lookie-loo by any means but I just wanted to know if I needed to be prepared for anything before going to bed.) The fire was about 3-4 miles from my house and where they were letting us drive by it was only about 30 feet away from the road. Scary! I'm glad they did a good job fighting it last night.
