Moving question - fridge stuff

We're moving tomorrow! (Read "&@%$#$%@!!!")
Anyway, do we transport anything from the fridge? It's about a 2.5hr drive. I have a small freezer that we keep in the garage. I'm planning to put my inside freezer stuff into that when we pack it ont he truck. I think it will be fine. Should I/could I put the fridge stuff in there as well? (I'm talking sauces, condiments, etc.)

Thanks!

I dont think it would hurt it. It would keep it cool and plug in the frig as soon as you get there it should be ok!!!

If i could move it my own vehicle I would. I would just put stuff in a cooler and call it good. You could use a couple of frozen things to keep it all cool.

It is only a 2 hour drive, but if you are moving your fridge on the truck, it could take them a couple of hours to get to it (depending where it is placed). So just plan accordingly!

For a two hour drive, I would pack everything in a cooler, and put some frozen cool packs in to keep it cool.

You want to take as much as possible. When we have moved to a new state, my initial grocery visit would cost me a fortune because of everything I had to buy!

Thanks guys! I found my cooler and am just going that route. I'm a nervous wreck! I've been crying for days, so sad to leave our house. Our new house is very nice, but it has NEIGHBORS on both sides (God forbid). I'm not sure how that will work out.

In the meantime, I'm so sad to leave all the memories we have here.:( Tomorrow is going to be an exhausting and emotional day. I hope I can sleep tonight. I hope nothing too important gets broken tomorrow. Right now the whole move seems like a complete impossibility! I know people do it every day but we don't (and haven't) so it seems endless at the moment. I feel like we'll never be settled at the moment, let alone feel like the new home is "ours". I know it will eventually, but right now that seems too far off to imagine.

I can't believe it's our last night in this house! :(

I remember feeling like all that, every time I've ever moved. The new house feels so foreign and the house you're leaving feels so familiar. I always felt a little weird, in the new house, for a little while, but eventually, it becomes familiar, too.

My friend, Heather, would say to make the beds right away. For one thing, it's an easy thing to do, to start making a new normal, in addition to the fact that you'll stay up too late, unpacking and be exhausted, but then the beds are ready for sleeping! That's what she told me and it was about the first thing I did, when we moved to this house 12 years ago.

Good luck! That's how the previous owners of our house, felt about leaving here, to go to their new house, too! LOL!

Moving is a major life change. :) I am sorry you are so sad. However, it really is understandable. I moved repeatedly when I was a child and it kills me to move as an adult. I get very upset about my kids having to change schools and start over making friends, etc...You are moving at a perfect time. Natalie is not in school at this time. Your dh has a great new job. The memories of your old home will always be with you and you will make many new memories in your new home.

I love the pics of your new house and the neighborhood you chose is really neat!

You'll feel better once you get set up in your new home. {{{Hugs}}} :)
