Dh and I saw him last summer. He was great and I am so glad we saw him before he passed away. Just wondering if anyone else was a fan.

I was very sad to hear he had passed.. I would have loved to see him live.

Oh I loved him so did dh. Dh has been watching all his stuff and we caught Larry King last night. We saw him live about 5 years ago.

I always thought his humor was "base" and was surprised to see that he narrated the Thomas the Tank videos. It was cool to hear him say something without a curse word. He did a great job on them.

His humor was "raunchy", this is true, but he was more than a "fowl mouthed" comedian. Many of the well known, "star", comedians are fowl mouthed. I am not quite sure why? I guess the shock factor of it all, "Did he really say that?", but many of them seem to go "there". Because of him (one of the oldest, longest careers, to do that type of comedy), or along with him, it seems to be common practice. I know there are "clean" comedians but they just don't seem to make as strong of a name for themselves. YKWIM?

He also did voice overs for Tarzan II, Happily N'Ever After, Cars, and he appeared in several movies. For example, The Prince of Tides and Jersey Girl, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, just to name a few. My older two loved Shining Time Station and the Thomas the Tank Engine programs.

After 50 years in the business he was reaching someone. Considering he had his first heart issues some time during the 1970's , I think he had a good run of it...
