Bad Start to my Birthday

Well, I got up and got ready. Then I took the girls to school. I got about 3 blocks from Alexis's school, when I was sitting at a stop light behind 4 cars. The light turned green and everyone started to go, then all of a sudden the lady in front of me slammed on her breaks. Well, I was just a little too close to stop completely and I hit her.

No one was hurt, well except maybe tensing up made my neck/back hurt a little more than it already had been (I have a degenerative disc and possibly a cyst at C6/C7 which is another story completely and I will find out more about that at my appt with the neurosurgeon on Monday). My car is not drivable because the radiator has a hole in it and the fan is knocking on something. Her car just has minor damage on the bumper. But on a good note Progressive was wonderful to me and they are taking care of everything. All I had to do was meet the tow truck driver to give him the keys, and they are doing the rest through their service center. I will have a rental by the end of the business day today.

Things are better now. DH was a sweetheart and took care of everything. And on top of that he bought me a really nice digital picture frame to put on my desk at work and the girls were so sweet too. We went out for dinner and I have a nice new rental until my van gets fixed so things are looking much better now. And I relaxed some so I am not hurting as much either.

I am not hurting any from the accident. I am very lucky for that. And all is taken care of and I have a rental and my van is in the shop getting fixed.

I love Progressive! They took care of me the day after a hurricane. I will never change companies.
