Trina - Ragdoll question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2008: Trina - Ragdoll question
By Debbie on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 - 09:04 pm:

I have a friend who is thinking of getting a Ragdoll cat. She has owned cats, is a BIG cat lover, but has always had domestic ones. We were talking the other day, and she was wondering about some things. I told her I have the perfect person to ask.

She likes the fact that they are said to be gentle, and very good with children. She has also heard that they seem to become more attached to people then domestic cats. What do you think??

Have you had other kinds of cats, and how do they compare to the Ragdoll??

I've had domestic cats almost all my life. Our Ragdolls are the first purebreds we've had. As with other cats, each Ragdoll has his/her own unique personality, but generally speaking, they are all very laid back and friendly. We LOVE the breed and can't say enough good things about them! :) I must point out that they are nonaggressive, and must be kept as indoor pets for this reason.

Lots of info and pics here:

HTH. I have lots of pics if she's interested. :)

Thanks for the website, Trina. I will pass it on.

I just love seeing pictures of your cats. They are adorable, and seem so sweet and loving.
