WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!

Not much, but it's snowing!

Sad thing is all the roads are closing and Jules and Madison can't get here. :-(

By Jelygu on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 01:24 pm:

I wish it were snowing here!

Sorry they can't get there. Maybe it will clear up soon?

By Bubbels~admin on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 01:37 pm:

YIPPEE YIPPEE YIPPEE Yahoo!!!!!

If our northern members are wondering why in the world we southern Louisiana cajuns are getting all excited, it's because we only see snow here about once every ten years!! And this is the first time in their lives that my DK's have seen snow. They are ecstatic.

A truly white Christmas - How cool is that????

:) :) :) :) :)

I hope it is heading this way! We had some sleet and flurries yesterday and the kids were amazed that the water in the outside dog bowl was frozen!

Sorry the kids can't reach you. Better to be safe than stuck somewhere.

By Andi on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 02:31 pm:

How exciting!!! Well Merry Christmas and enjoy the snow. :)

By Dawnk777 on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 03:05 pm:

We have had little snowflakes trickling down all day here, in WI! LOL! We only have a little dusting on the ground, though. It's a good thing, though, because if it was a bad storm, we would stay home this afternoon and I like going to my SIL's house!

Sorry that Jules and Madison can't get to your house! Take some pics of your snow!

By Palmbchprincess on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 03:24 pm:

Still mad... though I'm excited for you. Let's see... Dallas, Houston, New Orleans... all snowing. Why did it skip us?? Karen, I'm sorry Jules and Madison can't make it, but I hope y'all enjoy your white Christmas!!

By Pamt on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 07:43 pm:

No snow in Baton Rouge, but sleet and freezing rain off and on all day. BRRRRR! It's been cold and we've spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace today. It has been a wonderful Christmas-y day!! My parents and inlaws both had to drive back to Mobile today and got caught in all of the mess in SE Louisiana. We're still waiting to hear that the inlaws made it home safely. My parents just called. They said there were icicles hanging from the bridges and wrecks everywhere. It really is a big mess, esp. since people here don't know how to drive in winter weather conditions.

By Karen~moderator on Saturday, December 25, 2004 - 11:06 pm:

The bridge reopened and they made it this afternoon. We had some big flakes for a while, the cars are frozen, we've all scraped grafitti on the windshields, and there's white stuff on the ground, but tomorrow it will all melt and make a muddy mess. Everyone on my street was outside at the same time taking pics of it. DH thought we were all nuts.

Here in Houston we got quite a bit in my part, accross town at my sisters she hardly got any. We even were able to make snowballs and a tiny snowman, it was so awesome! I don't know who was more excited, me, my 15 year old sister, or my three year old! lol... It hasn't snowed here since 1990 so it was very exciting!

Crystal, I live in northeastern Louisiana and it's not snowing here either!!!

By Karen~moderator on Sunday, December 26, 2004 - 11:02 pm:

It wasn't much but I posted a few pics on the photo board.

By Colette on Monday, December 27, 2004 - 06:45 am:

I hope you all enjoyed your snow. We are at the end of an ocean effect storm and have 12+ inches. I hope yours sticks around long enough to play in it.

By Karen~moderator on Monday, December 27, 2004 - 08:15 am:

Do you have any pics??????

By Colette on Monday, December 27, 2004 - 08:34 am:

Not yet, but after I clean up, I am going snowshoeing in the woods and I will bring my camera.

By Colette on Monday, December 27, 2004 - 04:38 pm:

I got a few good pics...can anyone post them if I email them?

We went sledding this afternoon but it was WAY to windy and the kids only made one run and were done. We were all completely numb by the time we got back to the car.

By Karen~moderator on Monday, December 27, 2004 - 11:09 pm:

I will, I will!!!!!!!

By Colette on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:19 am:

I just sent you three. I think they might be way to big though. If you can post them thanks, but if it's a pain that's ok too.

By Karen~moderator on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:42 am:

Colette, where did you send them? I'm off today, so send them to my AOL address, OK?

By Colette on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:45 am:

I sent them to the aol address. I am just worried they are to big and will tie up your email.

By Karen~moderator on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:46 am:

Can you resend them??? I didn't get them. I'm sure they won't tie up my mail, we have cable, and AOL mail works differently from Outlook mail.

By Colette on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:50 am:

I just resent them

By Karen~moderator on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:53 am:

:-( I'm not getting them....... kay luvs sun @ a o l . c o m ???? (without all the spaces, of course! LOL)

By Colette on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 - 10:58 am:

I think my email is messed up. Dh just "fixed" the computer. I cut and pasted your email address so I know it's right...oh well..
