Happy yet sad

We were not able to buy our kids Christmas gifts this year, other than a $10.00 toy to open.
Well a few nights ago a man brought our kids gifts & a food basket for us. I can't believe that he did this for us. I know that Christmas is not about the gifts...but it was just hard knowing my kids were going to go with out.
He even brought one a birthday gift. I cried so hard, it really warms my heart to know that someone I have never met cared enough about my dk's to make a Christmas for them when we couldn't.

That brought tears to my eyes. I'm so glad that this wonderful man made it possible for you to enjoy the holidays. Money is always tight for us and we aren't able to do what we'd like for the dks. I know that it makes it hard to enjoy what we do have. I'm so happy for you!

That's really awesome. (((hugs))) I know we never had the best Christmases when I was growing up, but it never really mattered that much. Things will look up for you, keep your head up. :)

I think is a good thing that your children will only get a $10.00 toy from you. Just imagine what this means to your family. They will learn the value of a truly special Chritmas without the marketing/commercial bit that some of us feel trapped in. I remember when i was a child and just received one present at Christmas and was very happy for it. Then hard times hit my family and some Christmas we couldn't even afford to buy a Chrsitmas tree, let alone have presents but that didn't stop me being happy to be part of my family even in difficult situations.
What this man did was very generous, is nice to hear that there a people out there who care about you.
Your children will be so happy to be with you and it will only make them stronger.
Anyway, have a wonderful time with your wonderful family. May God bless you and prosper you always.

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} I think that that was so sweet of him to do. I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
