No longer stumped for a gift for DD

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2004: No longer stumped for a gift for DD
By Paulas on Monday, December 20, 2004 - 06:50 pm:

First of all, thanks for all the great advice. I decided that I didn't think the videonow was a worthwhile purchase and if DD is totally upset on Christmas morning b/c she didn't get it..oh well! She'll get over it!

What I did end up getting was (1) another Candylane game-they really like it and lost so many pieces that I threw it out (2) battleship
(3) some spy stuff.

The spy stuff is so popular this year! My dd wants some different things, too. I'm so glad that you found gifts that you are comfortable with. In your other post, it didn't sound like your dd's heart was set on it so I think she will be perfectly happy with the gifts you got for her.

I think she will be happy too Tink.

You and I should get together...I'm a teacher and you work at a teacher supply store...maybe we could work out some deals! lol :)

LOL, I've forgotten to update my profile. I'm a SAHM now. What grade do you teach? I'm sure your dd will be more than happy with her gifts!

I teach kindergarten this year. I'm having a blast. Those little ones are so cute!

Ack! I have a kindergartener and it is so much fun! He read a friend's name on Saturday night and it was so fun to see him sound out the letters and then run them together quickly, just like he'd been taught. The look in his eyes was priceless. I would love to do that everyday!

Can you give me some tips on playing candyland. Ds is almost 5 now. I tried to play it a year ago and he was too young.
