...does anyone have a good one? My family loves it,and we drink it up immediately when I buy it.So I need to make some,to save money. The store bought can get expensive if you drink a lot of it,which we do.

Sorry I can't help you out, but I have never heard of it!! Maybe just type it into a search engine and see what pops up!!??

We buy the boxed powder kind and make it from that. Is that what you do?
That's just 69 cents a box I think. The milk is what's expensive and I think you would use that even if you did make it from scratch.

Did you Google "boiled custard"? I did, and found several recipes. They are all done in a double boiler - that is, over boiling water. This comes out a soft custard, more like a sauce, not as firm as a baked custard.

I would just Google and check out recipes until you find one you like.

What do you want to use it for/with? That would help the good cooks here come up with recipes.

Ladies I am so sorry that I didn't follow up with this post.I have been sick for most of the whole month, and right around the time I posted this,I was rushing around frantically trying to do my Christmas shopping. No,it's different than eggnog, but similar,I think.Eggnog has nutmeg in it,which gives it a spicy taste. And boiled custard has more of a cremy, vanilla taste.I"m wondering if this might be more of a southern drink. It's "THE" christmas drink in our family. We know it's Christmas when we see this on the shelves at the grocery store ! I was wanting to make some home made a surprise my family with it.But I have been so sick,I probably wouldn't have felt like making it.
