Ok this is my 3rd baby but i did not go into labor with my first 2...i was induced in both cases. I think the baby has turned now because the kicking and movements are at the top of my stomach and bottom instead of on the sides. But how early do they turn normally before you go into labor? I know that some dont turn till right at the end but can it be weeks early? Just curious cuz me and dr have different opinions of the due date. So far everything is going good witht his one and it looks like i may be allowed to pull off another vbac if i can keep the blood pressure down.

They can turn a few weeks before delivery or the same day as delivery! I have 3 children and it's been different with each one. When are you due? Yours and the doctors due dates? Congratulations again, Kenna!

At the first ultrasound my dr gave January 17th as the due date...but that would mean conception about the middle or end of March...well i know this is wayy tmi but my dh and i had not had sex since the end of february because of all the tests i was having done at the time i wasnt feeling well. After the time at the end of Feb it was not till close to the end of april that we resumed. Does that make any sense...lol. So i think that it may be closer to the beginning of Jan/end of dec. Also the measurments they do at each appt more reflect my opinion..they say the centimeters of your tummy reflects the weeks you are and mine measured 37cm 2 weeks ago and i was only 34 weeks according to dr.

Maybe you'll have a Christmas or New Years baby! Congratulations.

I was a month early with Sarah (3 weeks and 6 days to be exact). When I was in the labor room, they asked me if my dates were right. Well, my last period before I got pregnant with her was Thanksgiving Day! How do you "forget" that? When she was born, she was covered with vernix caseosa, so they had to admit my dates were probably right. The closer babies get to term, the less vernix they have on their skin. She also had problems with jaundice, made worse by being early.

YOu could be further along. BUT if you go to the prgancy calculator based on conception date and put in april 25, then you come up with your exact due date. When you are counting back to find your conception date the easiest thing to do is count forward from your due date, 3 months. So if you conceived on Valentines day you would have been due about Nov 7. I think you just have your numbers off and your doc is right. http://www.pregnancy.org/pregnancycalendar/

My ds was head down 8 weeks before birth! He made my ribs SO sore from kicking! Then, he was a week overdue...ugh! I see his LARGE feet now and think "hhhmmmm...now I see." His dad has size 13 feet. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! Those last weeks are the hardest!!

This is my 3rd pregnancy also and my 1st 2 were induced, but I was still able to have them both by Vaginal birth. My girls turned but didn't want to come out, I am glad they induced though, who knows how big they would have gotten.. my 1st was 8 lbs. 4 oz. and my 2nd was 8 lbs. 11 oz. and they said this baby would probably be bigger because every baby has more room to grow so they are bigger, who knows... anyway, good luck and I hope you get to go into labor on your own this time, if you want to , I know I do. :)

BTW, I know when we concieved too, and I would go with your knowledge, thankfully my doctor and me have the same prediction.

My babies turned quite early. Probably about a month before delivery. I was happy about that. I didn't want to have to worry about having a c-section due to a breech baby!

I am 32 wks tomorrow. This past Sunday I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. By evening, my baby who was lying left to right was now up and down (hopefully head down!). He has turned but not dropped into the pelvis area...well, not compared where DD dropped down to.

With DD, she literally DROPPED at 30 wks. I thought she was going to land in the toilet. It felt like she was trying to crawl out the remaining 10 wks. She was born only a couple days early (induced).
