My 11 yr old cat has some kind of weird growth thing on her eye. It's on the top, sitting on the actual eye and it almost looks like mucus but it's not. She's also in a really bad mood and not herself at all. I am bringing her into the vets tonight, but if anyone has any ideas as to what this could be I'd appreciate it. I've been searching the web to no avail.

My 4 yo ds had something like you are describing when he was a baby, I dont know if it is the same but... It is like an eye zit but the fluid was clear. A duct on the eyeball got clogged, it healed itself after a while. The ped said not to worry about it. I dont even remember using anything on it, it just went away. So if it is the same your cat is probably in good shape. GL

Possibly an absess. My cats have gotten then a lot (they like to fight). One cat had one the size of a tennis ball. If it is this it will be drained and cleaned.

thanks! It is an infected scratch from my other cat. Hoping that topical antibiotics will take care of it.
