WHO was wanting some Christmas snow????

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2004: WHO was wanting some Christmas snow????
By Paulas on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 11:14 pm:

I was just wondering who was wanting that snow so I could send some down ALONG with the cold weather. The high for tomorrow is -27C. THAT'S -16.6F for my American friends.

You can have this anytime...I'll send it down!

By Wandilu on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 12:22 am:

PLEASE send it my way!!!! I"M in such a "Christmasy" mood, all I need now is SNOW !! I'm doing my part to make it happen,I've got my house decorated with snowmen with the "let it snow" signs on them.

By Bobbie~moderatr on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 12:33 am:

I would love for it to snow Christmas morning. But I have to drive on Christmas Eve and I would prefer safe travels, thank you very much. Although.. Supposed to have a major weather change in this neck of the woods tomorrow. Supposed to start out in the 50's and drop quickly through out the day. Thunder storms in the AM possible snow by the PM... So snow anytime soon is all to possible.

Is it wrong to start praying for spring even before the snow starts flying??? :(

By Trina~moderator on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 07:01 am:

It's freezing rain right now here in CT. School is delayed for 2 hours. It snowed lightly yesterday and was pretty but I hate when winter weather ruins plans. I also worry about DH and his commute to and from work. Bobbie, I'm with you. LOL! Already longing for Spring! It's going to be a loooooong winter. :(

By Ginny~moderator on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 07:03 am:

Send it to Pam. She always loves snow.

By Dawnk777 on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 07:34 am:

I would like a little snow before Christmas, so the roads can be plowed, but the snow would still be on the grassy areas. We have to drive to my SIL's house on Christmas Day, so I wouldn't want it to be snowing then.

By Kim on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 07:45 am:

I WANT IT!!! Its going to be hot here again today and it totally ruins my idea of Christmas!!!!! The mosquitos are really really bad lately too! Its just not the same w/o snow!

By Rayanne on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 07:54 am:

I would love some!!!!!!! I've NEVER seen snow and want to so bad. Also, it's in the 80's here, and I hate it.:(

By Hdelfuego on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 08:05 am:

I would really like some! It's 75 F here right now..at 7am! The mosquitos are aweful here in Louisiana too. Send it on down!

By Happynerdmom on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 09:53 am:

Brrr...I wouldn't mind some snow, but that's too cold! Raise the temp by 20 or 30 degrees, and I'll take it!

By Melanie on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 09:56 am:

When it's raining here, it's snowing in Tahoe! Woo Hoo...it's raining! :) I think we have a pretty good set-up. It doesn't snow where we live, but we can drive up to it anytime we want. Works for me! :)

By Tink on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 01:49 pm:

We are relatively close to Melanie and we have the same thing. Rain here = snow two hours away! Gotta love that! I can't imagine temps as low as -16 degrees. If it's really cold here, it's 30 degrees or so. I think it's cold here now and it's only in the low 50's. I'm such a wuss!

By Melanie on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 02:09 pm:

Hey Tink, are you going up to Tahoe at all during Winter Break? We will be there from the 18th-2nd. We are going to let Peyton try skiing this time. Should be interesting! :)

By Kernkate on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 02:09 pm:

Its raining here NE PA right now, we did have an inch of snow last night, ice this morning, kids had a 2 hour delay. Now its only 39 and I know it will all freeze tonight. I know we will see our share of snow in the next few months. We are below average now, but I am sure we will make up for it:)

By Jelygu on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 05:28 pm:

I would also love some snow. It was cold here in Alabama for a little bit, and now it is back up to about 70 again. Where is our winter?

By Colette on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 07:52 pm:

Snow and ice here most of the day...NO DELAY at school. My street still isn't plowed. I think it's turning to rain now though. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50's - whoo hoo heat wave!!

By Tink on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 09:32 pm:

Melanie, my ds doesn't get a Christmas break so we are stuck at home for the holidays. I hope you have a great time!

By Imamommyx4 on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - 10:59 pm:

It was 65 and sunny when I went to work at noon.

But if it makes you feel any better, it is supposed to be in the 20's by Friday.

By Paulas on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 - 12:22 am:

Nope..the 20s doesn't make me feel any better...not when it's -35C here tonight

By Palmbchprincess on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 - 12:55 am:

I'll pass on the snow offer. I would take Rayanne's weather ANYTIME!! I really miss living in S. Florida, and I cannot imagine living anywhere it was -16F!!!

By Eve on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 - 08:17 am:

I'll take the snow anytime, but not that tempurature! Buuurr!

LOL, Colette! DH and I were just saying "Isn't it funny when you start to think 50 is really warm?":)

By Fraggle on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 - 09:33 am:

50 would seem pretty warm to me right now! We had snow and then freezing rain last night so my DD had to slide on her butt down the driveway to get to the school bus stop.

By Pandamamaoo4 on Thursday, December 9, 2004 - 02:36 pm:

Don't send any my way...I like it here in Fl, sure the summers are HOT and this year we did have 3 hurricanes but at least I can drive after them. Lived in Va for 8 yrs DSH was out to sea every time it SNOWED!!

By Fraggle on Thursday, December 9, 2004 - 09:08 pm:

I may just have to move to Florida after today. Last night my car got stuck in the driveway-I spent a good part of today chipping away the ice in my driveway so I could get my car to move. I will take the snow over this ice stuff any day-and they are saying more snow/ice mix tomorrow. GRRRR.

By My2cuties on Thursday, December 9, 2004 - 09:22 pm:

Me me me I want snow, I can't wait for some snow.!!!!! I want to go sleding and build a snowman and make snow angels with my girls, when will it be my turn to get some snow. :(

By Missmudd on Thursday, December 9, 2004 - 10:42 pm:

I would like some snow please, since moving to the coast I havent seen a flake. I would love to have a day or two of playing and making snow men, then it could warm up and just go back to the rain....

By Missbookworm on Saturday, December 11, 2004 - 01:57 am:

ME ME ME Paula!!! Vancouver still has no snow and I don't anticipate we'll have any either :(

By Karen~moderator on Sunday, December 12, 2004 - 10:02 am:

Me too! I'd love to have a white Christmas. The last one we had was in the late '80's and wasn't really white, just a dusting, and a lot of ice.

By Insaneusmcwife on Sunday, December 12, 2004 - 12:27 pm:

I would love some snow. It snowed for a day here but then it was gone. I'm hoping for snow in Texas while we are there.

By Marcia on Sunday, December 12, 2004 - 01:21 pm:

I can send some to anyone who wants it!! We have several inches on the ground, and snowmen popping up everywhere. :o)
At least it's mild - around 30*!!

By Eve on Sunday, December 12, 2004 - 06:12 pm:

I'm hoping for a white Christmas! So, you can send some my way in a couple weeks!:)

By Cocoabutter on Monday, December 13, 2004 - 02:19 am:

In Michigan we haven't had any snow since Thanksgiving. We got 9 inches the day before TG and that was gone in 2 days! Can't build a snowman with melting snow.

The past 2 weeks have been cold and rainy (my LEAST favorite weather) and now we are finally getting snow. It is 28 degrees with a wind chill of 14. We are expecting 4-6 inches by the end of Monday. WOOOHOOOO! Now I can get into the Christmas spirit!

By Children03 on Monday, December 13, 2004 - 07:06 am:

I want some snow. I live in Georgia so we don't see much of it. I want my girls to play in it and build a snowman. It has been a few years since they saw it snow. file:///C|/web/Turner/holiday_clipart/snowraven.gif
