Just Kidding.1

But let's pretend I did. If I gave you $10,000 just because I loved ya ... what would you spend it on?

By Kernkate on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 05:11 pm:

LOL:) I was hoping someone hit big! I did hit the lottery 3 weeks ago on a daily # $290.00. It helped with christmas shopping:)
What would I spend it on...hmmmmm.....good question.
Its not enough to pay off my house, that would be the first thing I would do if I came into big money.
I think the thing I would do right now would be remodel my kitchen. I want a new kitchen!!!
So if you ever win big, you can remodel my kitchen for me...LOL:)

By Breann on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 05:17 pm:

I would pay off all our bills :) And then, I would pay ahead on the utility bills. Pretty boring :)

By Mrsheidi on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 05:27 pm:

Ditto Kathy, except i would be ridiculous and "bathe" in the cash first!
bath
plus
cash
equals too much fun!

By Mrsheidi on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 05:30 pm:

oh yeah, and then i would say "thank you"!! tee hee...
what about you Rayanne?

By Rayanne on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 05:44 pm:

I would pay off my credit cards, put some into Rylee's savings account, and pay off Chris' new truck with whatever was left.<~Boring, I know.:)

By Mommyof4 on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 05:55 pm:

I would give it to the adoption agency that we used to adopt our oldest and youngest child and earmark it for the waiting child program so that more waiting children would find their forever families just like we found our little miracles.

By Jelygu on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 06:00 pm:

I would also pay off bills (credit cars and school stuff), put some into Christopher's college fund, and do some work around my house.

By Tink on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 06:02 pm:

I'd pay off the rest of our car loan and then I'd go shopping for a couple of fun things! No credit card debt to pay off! Yippee!

By Unschoolmom on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 06:38 pm:

Pay off bills, buy a fancy computer and finish the basement for the kids as a huge playroom. And buy myself an XBox.

By Dawnk777 on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 07:07 pm:

$10,000? And my windows were already replaced with inheritance money? Hmmm. Then the next thing we would attack would be the upstairs bathroom. It's faucet is on it's last legs!

I was gifted that kind of dough when my one grandpa was still alive. We replaced some windows and bought a computer with some of that money.

I would buy DH his truck lift he has wanted.... there goes 3K.

Pay off credit cards... about 1.5K

Buy a new bedroom set.... about 5K

Then use the $500 left to splurge on clothes for DH, DD, and I.

By Pamt on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 07:34 pm:

$1000 to various ministries/missions that we are associated with

$5000 to pay off vehicle

The rest for home improvement projects and maybe another family cruise.

By Kaye on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 07:48 pm:

I could completely pay off our debts (except the house..lol) I would be much happier :) I would tithe from it and then be finacially more sound!

By Bea on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 09:57 pm:

Get new windows built and installed on our third floor.

By Kate on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 10:02 pm:

Some to St. Judes and various Billy Graham ministries.

Some on a nice Disney vacation.

Some in the kids' bank accounts.

The rest would be invested.

$10,000 is a nice chunk of change, but once you start spending it, it doesn't go far!

I actually did just resently come into a little more than that.A settlement that I have been fighting for ,for about a year and a half.It has been fun,but at the same time, stressful. We paid off some loans, and bought some new furniture that we badly need.I'm just stressing myself out worring about it.Seems like we have so many needs...or maybe it's just WANTS...that I'm afraid that it's going too fast.
