12 Days of Christmas for fun- help!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2004: 12 Days of Christmas for fun- help!
By Ilovetom on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 02:37 pm:

I have a dear friend who is forty and battling cancer for the second time now and a few of her friends and I want to leave the 12 days of Christmas on her door step, ring the bell and run. I know it's childish, but she needs some cheering up.

I got the second day- 2 dove bars which are her favorite anyway.

Third day- I don't know- maybe chicken soup?

Fourth day- a pad to put by her phone. Calling birds.

seventh day- bubble bath for swimming.

eighth chocolate milk! That is her favorite too.

tenth I was thinking ben gay for the lords leaping, but maybe a lotion instead.

So, I am blank of the first day- which should be good. Partridge in a pear tree. Help!

Fifth day- is 5 golden rings. Napkin rings?

Sixth is 6 geese laying. Eggs?

Ninth is ladies dancing. ?

Eleventh is pipers piping. ?

Twelveth is drummers drumming. ?

Help me with those days please ma'ams.

Thanks!

For the first day, how about a little Christmas tree with pears stuck in it or hanging on it, then get a little poster or picture of the Partridge Family, (or better yet, just David Cassidy!) to put in it! :)

First Day (partridge in pear tree)- a basket with a bird painted on it filled with fresh pears

Fifth Day (golden rings)- bangle bracelets

Sixth (geese laying)- no idea, sorry

Nineth Day (ladies dancing) - give her a vhs or dvd of the Rockettes

Eleventh Day (pipers piping)- A cd of Scottish or Celtic music

Twelveth (drummers drumming)- Make drum cookies - take Ritz crackers and spread peanut butter in between the layers until you have a stack that is as tall as a drum would be (four I think). Pour melted white chocolate over stack of crackers and set on wax paper to harden. Draw the rim and designs on the drum with frosting or decorator's gel. Take two prezel sticks and stick a miniature marshmallow on the end of each for the drum sticks.

HTH:)
