Nervous Fishy

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2004: Nervous Fishy
By Cat on Saturday, December 4, 2004 - 10:10 am:

Ya know, I've wondered in the past month why I have to add so much water to our fish's bowl. I know it's dry here, but you can see the water drop daily. Well this morning, I found a cat hair floating in the water! I can tell which cat it's from (Gizmo, aka His Highness). Hm. Me thinks someone is looking for a fresh seafood dinner! lol Poor Kenny. He does seem nervous and skittish all the time.

AWWWWWWW!!! Poor fishy.
When you said the fishes name, I immediately thought of South Park. "Gizmo killed Kenny!!"
I hope your cat doesn't get your fish.

LOL, my cats have been drinking out of the fishes bowl since the day we brought it home, they don't really care to "catch" the fish. DD's the one I always catch with her hands in the fish bowl!

That's hilarious! Our cat that we had in NC was too fat to even get up on a counter...but I'm sure that fish would have been good incentive!

Rayanne, Kenny was named by Robin, FOR the South Park character! rofl "Hey, who killed Kenny???" GIZ DID IT! Too funny.

Melissa, the bowl is way at the back of the counter so dh, my kids, myself and my first grade daycare child are the only ones that can reach it without the use of some sort of step stool or something. I have a couple kiddos that I'm sure would have their hands in there if they could reach it, though!

Mrsheidi, I pictured Garfield when I read your post! lol Giz is big, but he's not fat. He's about 15lbs, but he's got SO much fur! He looks very huge and intimidating.

Poor Kenny. He's going to end up being psychizo-fishy! Maybe I'll have to talk dh into a 10gal tank with a cover, for Kenny's protection. :)

Get a piece of wire mesh and form fit around the top of the bowl. It will still get air but be cat paw free.
