Pancreas

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2004: Pancreas
By Lauram on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 - 08:17 pm:

I had a repeat MRI on Fri because in AUgust when I was really sick, there was a shadow on my CT scan on my pancreas. Well- I was told it is "probably normal." PROBABLY?! Aparently there is a lesion on the duct either on the panreas or the liver that is the same as the one seen in August. HELLO?! What is it?! It is apparently not clinically significant because it is the same size, but I have to have another MRI in 6 mo. BTW- my symptoms in Aug were very severe GI stuff: pain, diarrhea, gas, couldn't eat, the works! ANy experience?!

No experience here, just wanted to give you some {{{{{HUGS}}}}}. I would get a 2nd. opinion. This probably isn't something to be taken lightly. Good luck and please let us know.

{{{Laura}}} I would want further answers as well, and agree with Rayanne about a second opinion.

Are you seeing a specialist? If not, I would. If you are, I would look for a second opinion.

I am seeing a GI dr (that's who called me). I just made an appt for the 16th to go meet with him in person. I'm going to see what he says and take it from there. I am also mtg with my internal med dr after Christmas who is also very knowledgeable. If I'm not satisfied with their assessment, I will take it further.... This is such a nightmare!

Sounds like you are moving in the right direction.
