Okay... Me and my mother are taking my girls to this next thursday, it will be in Nashville and we just bought tickets, I have NO IDEA what to expect, has anyone ever taken your dk's to one of these performances? TIA

I just took my dd last Saturday. We had a great time. This was the 4th time we have taken her, she still loves it and she is 6. Mom kind of likes it too...

Yes, it was several yrs ago (before I had Blake!!). My sis and I took our kids to see it in Tulsa. It was really ALOT of fun! The kids liked it alot. Worth the money (imo). Have a great time.

Oh boy... we took dd once..I am guessing about 6 years ago now?? It is loud and fun and kids are dancing all over the place!! Take your wallet because they sell food and all kinds of T-shirts and all of that good stuff too!!

I guess I was wondering because it was so inexpensive. I am glad to hear all the good reviews, I am sure they will love it, because they LOVE to dance. I will bring some extra money, I was wondering are the "items to buy" expensive or not?, so I will know exactly how much extra I need to bring. Thanks :)

We went a few years ago. Yes, keep that wallet handy! LOL. At intermission they sell balloons and then tell the kids to put them under their seats when the show starts so people behind them can see. Consider yourself warned. LOL. I don't remember the prices of stuff, but it was all way over-priced, of course. At any rate, have a great time. It's a really good show. :)

All of the stuff is way over priced as usual at that kind of thing.

We've been to Seasame Street Live, Barney, and the Wiggles. They've all be a blast and Brendan's loved them all. I personally enjoyed Barney the best because I'd gotten 4th row seats.

As for buying souveniers what I've done for them all is bought a shirt before hand with the character one in for the show and then let him pick out something small. Also most places sell candy and drinks so what I've done is took my diaper bag or purse with a sippy cup and a bag of M&M's in it because at the show they are outrageous.

Have fun!

Another thing I have done is prepurchased at the dollar store some sort of toy. I have only been to disney on ice, they sell those flashlights, etc for about 15 bucks a piece. There are rules about no outside concessions, but people were allowed to bring in whatever toys they wanted. So i did that and then handed them out at intermission and life was nice and it was cheap!

Oh Lordy! Now you are talking. My son was 3- he is 20 now- he loved it- we loved it!!!!

I didn't know they still had it. It was so fun.

We saw it too al ong time ago...1996? All of the kids liked it, veen the older two, although they wouldn't admit it after, lol! It is definitely worth it! I took pictures of the kids watching the show and some of the show. Their faces are glowing!

My mom said she got box tickets (they sold them at her work and that is why she got them) she said the whole company got these type of seats, ok I am really going to sound dumb here but isn't that like high up in a cubby type room?, I have never had "box tickets" to anything...what is it? Will they be able to still dance and see the characters or what?

By Tink on Friday, November 12, 2004 - 02:49 am:

Box seats are up front, usually. They are "boxed off" into groups of seats. These are usually great seats, ground level, less prone to over-crowding. I think you and your dds will have a blast. I went to this about 20 years ago and I still remember it! Have a great time!

We took our boys last year. They loved it. Like you, I wasn't expecting much because the tickets were very inexpensive. It turned out to be lots of fun, Actually, it is one of the better shows we have seen.
