Just a worry wart mom

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive November 2004: Just a worry wart mom
By Cat on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 - 12:44 pm:

That's me. I'm trying not to, but you all know how it is. Robin's on a field trip in Denver today. They left at 8:30 this morning and are supposed to be back at 4:00 this afternoon. It's an hour drive each way. Normally not a problem, but now the forecast is calling for an 80% chance of 1-3 inches of snow today and 25-40mph winds. The snow here isn't what gets people. It's the wind. Three inches of snow can end up being a two foot drift in some places. And the wind makes it snow sideways and makes visibility terrible. It's not snowing at the moment here and Yahoo weather says it's raining in Denver for the moment. He was so excited about this field trip. I'm sure they'll all be fine. I'm just being his Momma. Thanx for listening.

Oh Cat - BTDT in spades. My sons will tell you I am an Olympic class worrier, and I do understand.

I think we all have BTDT. I am sure they will be fine. If the school really thought it would be a problem I am sure they would not take all of those kids that far. He is having a blast. ((HUGS))

Well, they were 15 minutes late getting back, but they're all fine and Robin had a really good time. A teacher even told dh he was very well behaved. :) All that stress for nothing... (but I'll do it again, I know :) )

It's hard for us moms not to worry! I'm glad he got back okay!

When I was out with the dog today, I saw some snow flurries! I guess winter isn't very far away anymore!
