Nov. is always crazy here, too. I do like this month though, because it usually doesn't snow too much and I get to do a lot of shopping and cooking (yes, I love to cook)!

Conni, I am so sorry to hear about your friends. I will be praying for them.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I have Rylee's 1st. Birthday on the 23rd.
I have to make an appointment to get our family pictures done so then I can send out our Christmas Cards.
I have to Christmas Shop.
I wish that I was one of those people that shops all year round, but in a way I love the rush.

This year I think that I am going to try to make these cookies that I use to love as a kid. They are called Monster Cookies and they are the best. The only problem is that the recipe that I have is for 24 DOZEN COOKIES!!!!!! I have to sit down and try to figure out how to reduce it. I 'm not good at that kind of stuff.

Whhhaaaaa! I'm not ready! I'm not ready! LOL!

Christmas cards! I didn't even think about those! Thanks for the reminder!

Ok, Trina, we need to plan a trip to shop in a few weeks!:)

On a happy note, my All Day Scrap is this Saturday! Woo hoo! I can't wait!

Conni-many prayers for your friends.

Christmas cards have crossed my mind. Didn't stay, just crossed. :)

By Dana on Monday, November 1, 2004 - 10:51 am:

YEAH! Another month down! Usually, I stress about all the details of the upcoming holiday events, but this year, I am glad to have the holidays to take my mind off the last trimester. Those last 3 months are always so long, but with all those other activities getting inbetween (right up til due date: Jan birthdays and valentines) my baby boy should get here quicker...well, at least mentally quicker :) Oh, and I have a great excuse to not participate in as much this year :) Even Thanksgiving dinner I am excused from. I am just making homemade bread and one dish....and NOT AT MY HOUSE! Bet they don't let me clean up either. Can't help but grin at that.

I just bought some Christmas cards and was thinking about sitting in front of the tv signing them! Then it will be time to work on the Christmas letter. I need to go to Office Max and buy some fancy paper for that. Also, it's time to take a family picture for the card, too! DH can do that.

Dana, you've got it made this year!
I've decided just to send out Christmas postcards this year. I picked up some adorable ones by Susan Wingate and some other decorations by her. I'm really looking forward to doing the holidays without juggling work too. My older dd is off track in December so she and I will get to do all sorts of Christmas crafts and make gifts. I'm so excited this year! VERY stressed money-wise. The only drawback to not working is no "ownership" of the finances. :(

Cat, LOL! They crossed my mind this morning! I'm also thinking of the tree skirt I've been planning on making for the last THREE YEARS!!
I told the girls that this is the year (back in Sept., when I had loads of time). AACK! The clock is ticking!!

By Bellajoe on Monday, November 1, 2004 - 04:56 pm:

Relax and breathe ladies! As i sit here listening to "jingle bells" on a commercial on t.v....grrr.

I love the holidays, but hate how people get all worked up and stressed out about it. They should be fun and joyful not so stressful. So many people i see need their holidays to be "perfect", that's nonesense. It should be a funfilled, family oriented time of year.

Why are you worried about Christmas cards already? Just wait till Thanksgiving is over, then deal with Christmas cards. Enjoy the holidays and try not to get so stressed out!

:) :) :) :)

Bellajoe, I'm not "worried" about Christmas cards but know I need to start thinking about them now before life gets busy. I'm one of those people who likes to send out Christmas cards in early December so they're DONE and out of the way. I prefer to start Christmas shopping, etc. now so I don't get stressed when the holiday crunch time arrives. :) By the time school and holiday parties are in full swing I like to relax and enjoy them. KWIM?!

By Vicki on Monday, November 1, 2004 - 06:16 pm:

Trina, I am the same way. I like having everything done early so I CAN enjoy the holidays. If late Novemeber comes and I don't have my cards ready to go, I would be thinking of them and all the other 1,000 things I needed to do and I wouldn't enjoy anything. I am usually completely ready for Christmas (except wrapping) by Thanksgiving!! After that, anything else I buy is a bonus and I relax and bake and invite friends over etc!!
