This is going to sound so strange, but I have the weirdest taste in my mouth. It is a metal taste! I have brushed my teeth 3 times today and even ate lunch and it is still there. Any idea what would be causing this? Have never had this happen before.

I have fall allergies that were really bad last week. I had the whole head drainage and all, but now it is pretty much just a cough. That is why I am taking the Zyrtec. It is for indoor and outdoor allergies! Would have never guessed that it could have been that!

I get that when I'm dehydrated. Try drinking a few glasses of water and see if it goes away!!

Dehydration and meds will affect my sense of taste/taste in my mouth.

I was on a med for nerve pain that gave me *the* most annoying metallic taste in my mouth - it was like biting on pennies or something.

I take Zyrtec and haven't noticed anything like that, but that doesn't mean it's not a *side effect* that others experience.
