Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive October 2004: What is a digi-pak???

Does anyone know what this is?? I know it is somehow related to a CD or DVD but other than that I don't know what it is, what it does or how I use it!!

If it is used on the computer or tv or CD player, do I have to have something special to make it work?? Thanks in advance for any info!!

According to http://www.digipak.com/FormatsDigipak.html

An innovative approach to packaging DVD, CD and CDROM discs, the patented Digipak is designed as a replacement for the traditional plastic jewel box. Digipak is versatile enough to allow an almost limitless range of printing surfaces and multiple tray configurations.

As far as I can see, it is simply a different way of packing a disk, CD, CD-ROM or DVD, and I don't think you have to do anything different to play it.
