baked lately? I just made a chocolate, caramel cake. ummmm. Hope it turns out ok.:)

I just made slice and bake chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Does that count? I am not much of a baker except around holiday times, but I throw a batch of brownies in the oven once a month or so. Funny that you posted this today, I was wondering how often most moms bake cookies, cakes, etc.

BTW, will you post your cake recipe on the dessert board? I love chocolate and caramel.

We had 12 people over for desserts yesterday. So I made cupcakes, pumpkin pie and apple crisp yesterday afternoon.
Mmmm I can't wait to see that chocolate caramel cake recipe! :)

Actually guys, (I am alot like you Cori),lol, it is a box mix!! It was good, but very rich. While I was mixing everything, I wondered how often people bake sweets. Thought I would post it! I do have :) a recipe for a frosting called penuchi,(sp?)that is delicous, I will have to post that for you guys. It is very similar to caramel.

My 15yo dd baked apple-cinnamon-streusel muffins from scratch last week, to go with the chili I made. Before that, Emily (12) made some bars for a potluck at church. I think they were oatmeal scotchie bars. I haven't baked anything in a long time.

Homemade bread sounds good. So does the chocolate caramel cake.

I posted a cake recipe on the dessert board that goes really well with Penuche frosting. It is my all-time favorite cake and frosting! Yummy! My kids made it for me, for my birthday last year!

I baked peanut butter chocolate chip cookies last night. I love to bake! Every Christmas Eve we make homemade cinnamin rolls with caramel icing then on Christmas morning we eat them for breakfast. They take a long time to make because of the amount of rising it has to do, but they are SOOO YUMMY! I can't wait :)

Yesterday I made a blueberry coffee cake and chocolate chip cookies (both from scratch :)) I've been in a baking mood lately. Must be the colder weather.

Lately I've baked a Pumpkin Cake Bake, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate cake, and that's about it. I'm looking forward to the upcoming holidays....then the baking will really start!!!

I am going to attempt to make a cake either today or tomorrow in the shape of a baby shoe. Rylee's 1st. birthday is next month and I want to make her smash cake. If I can't do it, then I know that they are free at the grocery store.
