He got them on both sides about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Cold sores generally only last a week I think. Now I guess it has turned into just sores on the corners of his mouth. I don't see him pick them but they won't heal. I have been putting vaseline on them for a few days but they are still there. At first they were going away. One was basically gone, but now they are back.

I don't know what to do.

I just saw a commercial last night for Neosporan(sp?) Lip Treatment. It's for cold sores. You might give that a try.

Cold sores can be a form of Herpes. Since they have been around for a long while I would check with the dr.
For just a stubborn cold sore, Eucerin cream works very fast. It's over the counter a thick like zinc oxide.
