Well Im sure its already done. My husband was to get his vasectomy today..I think his appointment was around 11am..If he would of told me ahead of time about the time, or asked me a good time, I would of taken him and stayed.. But, my daughter gets home from Kindergarten at 11:10am and there is nobody to pick her up..The dr said he would be fine to drive home, as long as he didnt get the Valum beforhand :)..they said then they wouldnt let him drive.
My question is, what do we tell the kids? I mean both myolder kids know how babies come out of the womens body.. they just dont know how they get in there :) Im wondering how much actual pain he will be in, or just a soreness...
I told him not to expect much sympathy from me(Im bad, I know), I never asked him to get it done. Hes actually doing so he doesnt have to use condoms anymore..
I told him after 4 miscarriages, 2dnc's, and 3 births, I wont provide much sympathy for him..
Im sure he should be home at anytime..And having a baby who nurses all day long, I wont have much time to play "Nurse" :)

Just make sure he follows doctors orders & doesn't pick up anything over I think 10 pounds. I think it was sweet of him to get it done if you do not want anymore children, since birth control is not 100%.
I would not tell your kids anything, if they ask just tell them Daddy doesn't feel well.
I know that you are tired, but if he does more than he is supposed to it can possibly do damage.

My DH had one last month. He didn't take any meds for pain other than Tylenol. The first day he kept off his feet and stayed real friendly with his frozen peas. LOL! We didn't even want to explain the whole thing to our DKs (6 & 8) so we told them that Daddy pulled a groin muscle and wasn't feeling well. Day 2 he was up and around but took it real easy. Progressively better from there. His was done on a Thursday and he returned to work on Monday. Although he was back to normal life fairly quickly he wasn't up for lovemaking for at least a week. Everything is now in working order! :) However we have to use another form of BC until all sperm clears out and the doctor gives us the green light after testing. *Hopefully* it took! I'm not sure he'd want to do it again!
