I was cutting Rylee's nails and I cut one way too short and it bled FOREVER!! It's still moist. While I was cutting them, she pulled away and I slipped and nipped. I feel so bad. I started crying with her. I've never done this before. Will it heal really fast?

I know how you feel, I have done this before with Christopher. Lord it is hard to cut his nails! It heals pretty quickly, don't worry. It probably hurt you more than it hurt her!

Yes, it should heal fast. I did the same thing to my youngest ds. He just wouldn't sit still for me to cut his nails. I finally started cutting them after he feel asleep at night. It worked great.

This happens inevitably at least once to every mother. I did it on all three of my boys. It's really not a big deal - it will heal quickly. Like Jelygu said, it probably hurt you more than it hurt her.

I still get nervous clipping DD's nails! I did like Debbie for a long time, and clipped them while DD slept. Much easier!

I did this with my youngest and I felt terrible. After that I used my teeth, I could gauge how much to take off much easier then with those little clippers!

Reminds me of a story my aunt told about my 3 cousins, all her daughters, when they were little.

She had them all in the tub, 3 girls, 4, 3, and 1 years old. The 3 yr-old got out and got ahold of her mom's scissors and cut herself, and she cried and my aunt came running and picked her up and held her and felt horrible that she had left the scissors out and so she started crying and then the 1 yr-old came over to see what was going on and SHE started crying, then the 5 yr-old fell down the stairs and started crying too. Then DADDY comes home to find ALL FOUR FEMALES crying for various reasons at the same time! Needless to say, Daddy saved the day!
