Tonight we are having a porketta roast, mashed potatoes and italian green beans.

By Marg on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 09:57 am:

Nothing Kath:( I have a stomach virus or something, yuck. And I gave it to oldest dd who has her first camping trip this weekend (with the youth group).

I should make shepard's pie...

By Sue3 on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 10:27 am:

I don`t know yet!I better start thinking of what to fix before I mow our lawn.
What is a porketta roast? I have a pork loin roast in our freezer ,maybe I`ll fix that?

By Kernkate on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 10:47 am:

Porketta is a seasoned pork roast
pork...it is really good just posted the recipe on the recipe board.

By Emily7 on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 10:58 am:

It looks good.
Nothing fancy here just Meatloaf, baked potatoes, & corn.

By Andi on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:00 am:

I am putting a pork roast in the Crock pot with Golden mushroom soup and apples. The recipe was on the back of the Golden Mushroom soup. I can't wait to taste it!

By Tink on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:01 am:

I'm going to try the cheesy chicken recipe that everyone is raving about on the recipe board with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I really want to make a blueberry cobbler, too. I don't know if I'll make that tonight, though.

By Tink on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:02 am:

Sounds good, Andi! Let us know how it turns out, okay?

By Angellew on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:04 am:

It's just me and my DD tonight and I'm in a selfish mood and craving sushi... so, I'm getting what I want and my DD is getting her favorite... hot dogs and french fries.

By Colette on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:06 am:

I think dh is making chicken marsala or getting takeout.

By Kernkate on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:10 am:

Andi that sounds good.
Cori that chicken I thought was excellent!

By Nicosmom on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 11:15 am:

I'm at work now and I have school tonight so I have no idea what's for dinner. Dh will probably whip up hamburger helper. Blech!

By Dana on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 12:12 pm:

YEAH, Wed night is DH cooks night! DD and I go to church before DH gets home from work. I defrost a lovely steak for DH. Preheat a baked potatoe ready for grilling and leave the house. Today, I will however, prep some fresh mushrooms and onions ready for the grill as well. There is salad mix in the frid if he wants it. Ice tea is made and ready to go. I love "Steak Night!" I don't have to cook or clean :)

By Cat on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 12:44 pm:

Dh is working late tonight and the kids want grilled cheese--so grilled cheese it is! :)

By Happynerdmom on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 01:05 pm:

Greek Pasta (with chicken.) I bought Leanne Ely's book "Saving Dinner." (from Flylady) It is a year's worth of menu's, recipes, and even the weekly shopping list! It's perfect for me, because I LOVE to try new recipes, but I hate trying to think of things to try. So far, there have only been a very few things (Only one, really) we didn't care for, but most of the meals have been delicious! The meals are pretty healthy, with a LOT of variety.

By Kay on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 01:28 pm:

We're having leftovers tonight - rotini with spaghetti sauce. (I was having a busy week so I made a big batch.)

By Eve on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 01:30 pm:

Does Nyquil count? I'll probably just make DD some chicken nuggets and DH can fend for himself when he gets home!

I am craving the Cowboy Casserole that is on the recipe board. Hmmm, maybe I'll make that!

By Boxzgrl on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 01:42 pm:

I've been lucky enough not to have to cook since DH just had his wisdom teeth pulled. So yogurt, pudding and a bunch of soft stuff for DH. As for me, I just enjoy small snacks every few hours.

By Melanie on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 02:09 pm:

Michele, isn't that book great? I have that and I subscribe to the menu mailer. Love it! However, ds #2 has been asking for beans lately, so tonight we are having one of our favorite recipes: Boston Baked Beans. :)

By Rayanne on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 02:43 pm:

Italian Sausage Marinara with Penne Pasta.1

By Andyjoy on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 03:02 pm:

creamy chicken enchiladas (chicken, onion, monterey jack cheese in tortillas w/sour cream & green chile sauce) and corn

By Eve on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 03:15 pm:

Andyjoy, can I please have your enchilada recipe? It sounds really good.:)

By Shandi on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 03:34 pm:

I'm not sure, we were invited to a frends house for Meatloaf, but my dd is not feeling good, so dh and older dd will go by themselves, maybe they'll bring me leftovers, I'm not to thrilled about Meatloaf.

By Andyjoy on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 04:18 pm:

Eve, I posted the recipe on the cooking and recipe board under casseroles. I hope you like it as much as we do!
