BOY......i am happy no matter what i have but my problems is that i have a name for agirl but have been over the list of names for a boy about a million times and i just cant find a name that i feel good about..does that sound weird? I mean there are tons of names i like but in the past 4 months of trying to think about names...nothing feels like it fits what i want..helllppppp

By Trina~moderator on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 06:46 am:

Ah yes, the Name Game! It's hard, isn't it?! Give it a rest and perhaps a name will come to you. We had no problem with DS's name but couldn't decide on DD's. We narrowed it down to two, but couldn't settle on which one. We waited until after she was born to see which one suited her best. Thankfully, we both agreed! LOL! Good luck!

By Bellajoe on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 07:14 am:

When we had Joey, we didnt have a name picked out. We had a few girls names, but then he came out a boy! He didn't have a name for about 24 hours. We narrowed it down to Dominic or Joseph and I just decided he looked more like a Joey.

It will come to you, don't worry. and btw, CONGRATULATIONS!!

By Karen~moderator on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 07:32 am:

Give us a few of the names you like, and we can start brainstorming..............

By Brandy on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 08:17 am:

Just rattling off a list of therapy kids and friends of my boys: Ryan, Eric, Graham, Aaron, Cody, Joshua, Hayden, Chandler, Evan, Neal, Casey, Sidney, Brock, Will, Thomas, Christian, Nicholas, Peyton, Garrett, Truett, Cameron, Holden, Timothy. I like biblical names myself and my boys are Adam and Noah. If we ever had a third he would be Luke Jameson.

By Jayne2 on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 08:50 am:

I like Matthew, Daniel, Liam, Timothy and there are more, I just can't think right now. Also, watch the credits after a tv show and look at names, it is a great resource. Congratulations!

By Rayanne on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 09:05 am:

boy

That is awesome. I am with Karen, give us some names that you like and we can maybe have some type of poll or something.

By Mommyathome on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 10:25 am:

Congratulations!!!!!
Cooper is my favorite :)
I also like Hayden, Chandler, Chase, Jaxon....

By Emily7 on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 10:25 am:

Congrats on having another boy.

By Audreyj on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 10:51 am:

Congratulations!

A friend of mine is having a boy and she is naming him Garrett. I like the name Maverick, it means "a strongly independant man". I like to look up the definitions of the names. It helps me decide. You can use a search engine and type in a name and you can get all kinds of cool info.

I also like names from the Bible. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Issac (laughter), and Jesse.

I have two girls but the boy names we considered were Charles, Samuel,(son that I prayed for), David, and James.

I have a nephew named Lyddon (pronounced Lay-don)
it's a family name on the Mom's side.

If you like unusual names, you can search those on the net, too.

By Eve on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 12:31 pm:

Congratulations!!:)

Our boy name was Mason. I like Jack, Carter,& Connor too.

By Mommmie on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 01:32 pm:

I have a friend who named her boy Nash. I like that. Check back through your family tree and maybe use a family name.

By Dana on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 01:58 pm:

Congratulations.

I'm a boy too! We picked our name the day after I told DH about DD. We picked both girl and boy names at the same time. This time, I was so sure it was a boy, I told DH we would just keep that same name and we would worry about a girl only if we needed to, LOL. Thank goodness I didn't need to. I had no clue on girl names.

My sister, a teacher, says anything but Michael. She had too many annoying kids with that name :). Funny what heads us in a direction for a name.

By Momaroze on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 02:56 pm:

Congratulations, aren't boys wonderful. I love Jesse, Ashton, Rylee, Ryan, Eric, David and Nash.

It's so hard to choose with so many wonderful names!

By Tink on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 08:31 pm:

LOL, Jayne! That is how my DS and my DD#2 got their names! We were really down to the wire with my youngest and I started rattling off the names of women on TV. She was named after a movie called Amy and Isabelle.
I like Payton, Jack, Cooper, Braden, and Luke.

By Dawnk777 on Monday, September 20, 2004 - 09:50 pm:

We wanted Gregory Allen if we had had a boy.

By Mommy8 on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 12:17 am:

I like the family names, also. Could you use your husband's name as a middle name? Don't feel too bad...we named our daughter in the labor room (she was three weeks early). And she received three names because we couldn't decide!

By Missbookworm on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 12:43 am:

my boys are Nikholas Deangelo and scott lorne william...I like the name Marlon...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

By Melana on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 01:34 am:

I'm having a boy too! We have bumped heads on this for a while now. He finally came up with Damian Raphael, and I didn't really care for it at first, but it's really grown on me, and now that seems to be the name that's sticking. Although I'd still LOVE to name him Elijah, I love that name.

By Fraggle on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 10:07 am:

Congratulations! Don't stress too much over deciding on a name right now. With my oldest daughter I ended up picking her first name and my DH picked her middle name in the hospital after she was born. With my second daughter, my DH and I each picked a name we liked and they ended up being her first (DH's choice) and middle name (my choice).

By Debbie on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 10:13 am:

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! I was the same way when I had my 1st baby. I had a girl's name all picked out, but no boy's names. Dh and I didn't decide on a name until I was 9 months pregnant. You have plenty of time, it will come to you!!

By Amyj on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 11:16 am:

I like the idea of using a family name. My son's name is Colter. He is the great x 5 grandson of John Colter, the exploring with Lewis and Clark. John Colter also discovered Yellow Stone. Other names that we talked about if my daughter had been a boy: Holden, Mason, Zachery, Jacob, and Keeton. Congratulations! Let us know when you find some you like!

By Sunny on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 11:21 am:

Congratulations! :)

What kinds of names do you like? Biblical? Modern? Classic? There are always the names that never seem to lose popularity; John, Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Robert, etc.

By Amy~moderator on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 12:13 pm:

If people are giving you too many opinions about what they like or disllike, my suggestion is to not tell them what name you DO choose until the baby is born.
My sister kept the names of her babies a secret till they were born. That way she didn't have to hear "Dylan? there was a ugly kid in my school named dylan, he was such a jerk" or something stupid like that. They can't really say something like that once the kid is named :) At least my friends and family don't.

Good luck, I know. Boy's names are soooo hard. My friend had a baby this morning and he is not named yet! I guess they can't decide!

By Bellajoe on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 04:28 pm:

I just reread what i posted. I didn't mean the people on Momsview are giving you too many opinions , i meant your family members or friends! LOL sorry! :)

By Cakekisses324 on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 04:57 pm:

Good luck, and congrats!!! I like Adam. It is a good strong name, and goes well w/ Brandon and Nathan!!!!

By Melanie on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 05:02 pm:

Congratulations!! Since we are all throwing out names, I'll add a couple to the mix. :) My boys are Alec and Griffin. I get a ton of compliments on Griff's name. It's been a favorite of mine since I was a kid! :)

By Insaneusmcwife on Thursday, September 23, 2004 - 02:24 am:
