Pg? progesterone level of 1870... Has anyone else had progesterone results?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2004: Pg? progesterone level of 1870... Has anyone else had progesterone results?
By Hdelfuego on Thursday, September 16, 2004 - 12:56 pm:

I found out last week I ovulated. We've been on fertility meds and it worked bc I did ovulate. I found out yesterday my progesterone level was 1870. They told me last month when my level was 1500 that was borderline, and yesterday my nurse wouldn't give me any idea one way or the other. She said just to wait and see. This is day 22, so I have another week before I can do a pg test. I just wanted to know if anybody had their progesterone tested and if so, what were your levels and were you pregnant. I just really want some information to go by. Anything would help.

I had low levels with my ds, but I am not sure what your levels are supposed to be. I hope you are pregnant & will keep my fingers crossed.

They gave me progesterone suppositories. They do that if you had a miscarriage or are over a 40. You can ask about them.

Emily, I checked out that address. Thank you. It basically just said that the numbers can fluctuate a lot if you are or aren't pg. Feona, I'm only 24, so I'm sure if in fact I am pg, they'll probably put me on premarin to keep it safe. Any more people out there with #s experience?

I had problems with progesterone- but don't know the number. I had 2 m/c before they figured it out. It was solved by a shot (really painful one) as SOON as I found out I was pg and oral pills until 12 weeks. If you are concerned, go to your OB and have them do a blood test to see if you are pg. BTW- my problem was low progesterone- so it looks like your numbers are going up.
