Please help!! Removing oil from driveway

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2004: Please help!! Removing oil from driveway
By Mommyathome on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 - 01:59 pm:

We just moved in a couple of weeks ago, and already our driveway looks awful. We've been borrowing my uncles Bronco and it leaks oil. We return the bronco this weekend and now I need to know how to get the oil off the driveway. It looks bad :(
Any products or home remedies that you know of would be great!!
TIA

I know cat litter helps soak up the oil but as far as removing it I dont know. Good luck!

I used Goo Gone to get oil off our driveway. I bought it at Home Depot. I tried everything and this was the only stuff that worked.

Maybe I'll go dump some cat litter on it and see what that does. Some of it still looks fairly "wet". We do have some Goo Gone as well. I'll try that after the litter soaks up whats on top.

Thanks girls :)

Coke Classic works good to lift the stain.

My DH mentioned that he had heard that coke works. We'll add that to our list! Thanks :)
